The Cottage ~
Midpark Cottage is situated less than a mile from the market town of Castle Douglas, Dumfries & Galloway in a secluded rural location. It is a semi-detached cottage at the end of a lane and is surrounded by fields.
Having been recently renovated it is very comfortable with oil fired central heating and a wood burning stove in the sitting room making it very cosy!
Pets can be accommodated by prior arrangement only.
We have a no smoking policy.

Bedrooms ~
The cottage sleeps 4 people with one double bedroom and one twin room which can also be turned into a double if necessary. All bed linen and towels etc. are provided along with hot water bottles and extra blankets. A cot can be provided if necessary.

Kitchen ~
The kitchen is light, spacious and well equipped. There is an electric oven with ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. The table will seat4-6 people.

Sitting Room ~
The sitting room is warm and cosy with a wood burning stove. We provide logs for the fire which are kept in the shed outside. There is a television, DVD, and radio CD player and a good selection of holiday reading plus books and literature on the local area.

Garden ~
There is a large garden outside with lawn, shrubs and trees and a patio area outside the kitchen with a table, chairs and bench for sitting out and enjoying the sunshine when the weather is good. There are usually donkeys and horses in the nearby fields. There is an ample parking area with locking shed for bikes, fishing tackle, hill-walking gear etc.

Bathroom ~
The bathroom, which has been recently renovated, is equipped with a full sized bath with a shower overhead, wash hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail. Hot water is provided through a combi-boiler and is constantly available. All towels are provided.
